Russian FEDEX To The Space Station

The Russian Progress 48 docked to the Pirs docking compartment at 9:18 p.m. EDT Wednesday after just four orbits. The cargo craft launched earlier in the day from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, at 3:35 p.m.

Aurora Australis As Seen From the ISS

The Expedition 32 crew onboard the International Space Station, flying an altitude of approximately 240 miles, recorded a series of images of Aurora Australis, also known as the Southern Lights, on July 15.

The effect of spaceflight on a microscopic worm -- Caenorhabditis elegans (C. elegans) -- could help it to live longer. The discovery was made by an international group of scientists studying the loss of bone and muscle mass experienced by astronauts after extended flights in space.

Conrad Foundation and NanoRacks Team to Fly Student Experiments in Space using American Express Points

Expedition 31 Flight Engineers Don Pettit and Andre Kuipers grappled Dragon at 9:56 a.m. (EDT) with the Canadarm2 robotic arm and used the robotic arm to berth Dragon to the Earth-facing side of the station's Harmony node at 12:02 p.m. May 25, 2012.

ISS Captures and Berths Dragon

The International Space Station crew successfully captured the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft at 9:56 am EDT. It was berthed to the ISS exactly 3 hours later.
